0103 Xbox 360 secondary error code | Three red rings guide
Big problems
Unfortunately, the 0103 secondary error code is not an easy one. It means your Xbox 360 has become a victim of the all too familiar three red rings of death. This error is something typically only professionals can tackle. However, you COULD try the x-clamp fix to get some results. Otherwise, I'll dig deeper below!
The RAM won't write!
Technically, the 0103 secondary error code is thrown because the RAM chips had a delay during the write process. This means you would need to start by reflowing the RAM chips. Performing a reball or replacing the RAM chips could also solve your problem. However, I would say the GPU is a much more common cause of the 0103 secondary code.
Fix the GPU
As stated above, the GPU could be fixed with an x-clamp fix. But this does not always provide consistent results. You should follow the same steps as discussed earlier with the RAM chips. For the novice user, replacing the motherboard with a working one is your best bet and typically won't be extremely expensive either.
