Original Xbox 120GB HDD Upgrade list | Tinker Mods
Introduction
This portion of the Original Xbox hard drive upgrade buying guide covers the 120GB HDDs. If you want to see all size options click the link to the main buying guide. The 120GB HDD is a great size option for your original Xbox HDD upgrade and a common size to go with. This list of HDDs is not a definitive list but a simple list with several HDD options out there that will be common to come across. One of the big issues with the original Xbox compatibility list is how outdated it is with drives that are impossible to locate in the modern day. So everything in this list is a 120GB HDD option that should be easy to find. Being easier to find also usually means you can find these at decent prices compared to most others. Just keep in mind this changes and goes up and down based on what is currently available out there, so don't just look up one of these look up several if not all. You should be able to find a couple of these in the list at good prices any given time. These 120GB HDDs are also all confirmed to be lockable and compatible with the original Xbox HDD upgrades as these are all drives I have used personally!
Lastly, Some Brands made identical HDDs with identical model numbers yet can be either SATA or IDE. With a 120GB drive there is no reason to use a SATA HDD being that you would need the converter as well. So Double check when you're out shopping that the one you are buying is an IDE!
