Dealing with the clock error
This is an odd error as it deals with the clock and loading the dashboard. A very specific set of circumstances have to occur to make the error 16 populate on an original Xbox console. First, the 16 error means the dashboard didn't load after attempting to get the time and date. Your hard drive is able to pull a basic date and time as a default. This can happen if the hard drive is wiped and not installed again before the clock capacitor runs out of stored power. This means both the clock cap and the hard drive can't boot into the menu that asks you to set the time and date manually on a stock console boot up. Your best bet here is to use a tool like rocky5 exrta's to bring the console back to a stock state so you can start over. Another obvious option is replacing the motherboard entirely with something like these replacement original Xbox motherboards. replacing the motherboard means it won't have the problem anymore and the error 16 will clear out. You would need to install mods and files again from scratch with this method, but at least the console isn't lost.
