Is that... an LCD?
That is correct! This custom build includes an LCD screen in the faceplate. When people think about an original Xbox and LCD screens, they usually think of the famous X3 faceplate. Unfortunately, those mod chips and faceplates are getting more and more rare. That also means they are pretty expensive too. One of the great features of the X3 faceplate is your ability to monitor your internal temps and make sure your console isn't running too hot. That is the purpose of this LCD screen. This does not require the X3 mod chip or X3 faceplate. This is an independent temp monitor that allows you to monitor your console no matter what the console is doing on the screen. This means you will get a heads up if your console starts running to hot that it needs to be cleaned or have new thermal paste added to the motherboard. This custom modded origonal Xbox console will have a much longer lifespan than one without it as you can prolong your consoles life by keeping it running at optimal temps at all times. The custom modded case
The custom case is amazing, that huge of a window isn't seen very often on the original Xbox. Using a massive window allows you to see all the guts (and show off any other upgrades you've made) as well as add LED lights to give it a look you won't forget. The softmods
A custom modded original Xbox just isn't complete unless it has the softmods. Unfortunately many people have trouble with this aspect of modding the original Xbox. Soft mods let you upgrade your hard drive size and unlock endless possibilities. Faster load times, media centers, emulation. It's all possible on the original Xbox after a softmod.
