The first thing you need to know? This Samsung CD drive is not considered plug and play. There will be no soldering required to install, but you still need to remove the PCB from your old CD drive first. You will then install it inside this new one. Every Xbox 360 motherboard has a special key, or password if you will. That key is stored inside the PCB of your Xbox 360 CD drive. It needs to match the one inside your mobo. Also one last quick note, this is for the Xbox 360 phat console only. This will not fit the Xbox 360 S or E models.
