What you need to know
Xbox 360 optical drive replacements are NOT considered plug and play. This means you can't simply plug this drive into your console. You will need to remove the PCB from your old Hitachi Optical drive first and then install it in this new one! That's why this replacement drive does not include the PCB, as it would not work or play game discs! The last thing you need to know is that this Xbox 360 optical drive replacement is designed for the Xbox 360 fat(phat) console. This will not fit the other models!
