Product Description

Here you can get a PS1 disc drive replacement in great working condition. This version will only fit the SCPH-5501 and SCPH-7001 models, so make sure you know your console model before buying! This is located on the manufacturer sticker on the bottom of the console. If you need a disc drive replacement for a different version you can see all the other versions by going here! This is NOT a cheap clone, but an authentic OEM genuine PS1 disc drive replacement. This has been tested extensively and in most cases some aspect of the drive has been rebuilt and refurbished to run efficiently.

You may not need this!

In some situations a PS1 having issues reading game discs isn't always the disc drive itself. There are SMD components on the motherboard that fail and can cause the same issues. If this is the case, getting a replacement will not solve your problem. You need to thoroughly test and troubleshoot before buying. If you aren't sure you can contact me.
