You can do it!

You really can build your own Xbox 360! Many people do not know where to start or what they need to do, but that is where I come in. There are a bunch of things you need to learn but we need to start at the beginning.

Where do you fit in?

If you want to build your own Xbox 360 console, you first need to know your own abilities. We are all especially good at some things and not so great at others. So, essentially what I am saying is, you need to know what your limits are. Have you done much working with your hands? Have you tried to build your own Xbox 360 before? Have you ever done any soldering, if so, how well did you do? Do you have a background in electronics and tools? These are all important questions, you know who you are better than anyone else does. If you answered yes to most of these questions, then you might be a hands on kind of person. Someone who would be able to design and build your own Xbox 360 from scratch with nothing more than a few tutorials.

Maybe you don't have much experience with tools and soldering? That's okay too! Everyone is good at something and maybe working with tools just isn't your something. Maybe you tried to build your own Xbox 360 before but it did not go well. These are all okay too. You just have to take a different path, but you absolutely have alot of options.

From scratch

For those of you who answered yes to most everything, We will start with you. If you have the experience all you need is a little push in the right direction. There is a full set of tutorials for you that will really help you build your own Xbox 360 console. You can learn how to cut your own custom case as well as design it. For the less experienced

For those of you who aren't as great working with your hands, or maybe you just aren't sure about trying to do all of this stuff on your own, we have pre-made kits! These kits have most of the difficult work done for you. The cool thing here is that you still get to build your own Xbox 360, you just don't have to risk messing up components in the process. There are many kits to choose from and what's even better is that you have a lot of options for colors and designs to choose from.

The custom case kit

This kit is a great package for just about anyone. You can build your own xbox 360 right out of the box! All you really need to know is how to open your console. If you have never done that before, it isn't too hard. you MIGHT need some tools but over-all you should be able to do that without much trouble. Here is a tutorial on how to open and disassemble your Xbox 360 console. Once you have that down you can build your own Xbox 360 with basically no more effort than plugging everything in and swaping out your old parts! This custom case kit includes a case top that has a huge window mod with pre-installed plexiglass. You also get a plug and play LED kit that plugs in by replacing your disc drive power cable. There are many other pre-made options! Maybe you cut your own case and designed an awesome window mod for it, well you can also just get an Xbox 360 LED kit that you can install inside your console and will go with any design you make. This LED kit works the same as the one included in the custom case kit and is a great addition when you build your own Xbox 360. Lastly, you might also want the ring of light and power button to be a different color. You can also find an Xbox 360 ring of light mod with tons of different LED colors to choose from! Those things are easy to install and add a great effect to your project when you build your own Xbox 360!
