What Dremel accessories are used for Xbox 360 case modding?

Many people have asked us what types of accessories are used for Xbox 360 case modding. Tinker Mods uses the Dremel tool to cut window mods in cases. In most of our tutorials we do not go into what types of bits and accessories we use and thus, this is a question we get asked a lot.

The Cutting tip

The actual Dremel bit that is used for Xbox 360 case modding is simply called the Steel cutting bit. There are actually multiple types of cutting bits, but this one works the best for the Xbox 360's plastic case. Lowes Home Improvement sells these bits online as well as in store. The cutting attachment

As most of our videos show, you also need an attachment that screws onto the Dremel. This is probably the most important Dremel accessory for Xbox 360 case modding. This tool allows you to cut on flat surfaces from above the item you work on. This attachement is called the Dremel Rotary cutting kit. Most of the kits you find also include the cutting bit that is mentioned above! Lowe's Home Improvement also sell these kits online, and in most stores.
